即將卸任的馬總統，昨在不同場合既談8年來政績，也批新政府南向政策。他說，2015年世界競爭力評比，台灣在亞太地區名列第3，比前兩任總統好，也是20年來最佳成績；談到南向政策說，「我們早就南進了，只因有些東西有敏感性，不好講。」

談及經濟表現，馬說，去年「洛桑管理學院」（IMD）世界競爭力評比，我總排名從金融海嘯時23名，進步到全球11名，亞太第3。8年來，我國全球排名總平均11.5名，超過過去兩任總統15.5名與16名，比前兩任都好，也是20年來成績最好。
